The New Year

One of my new years resolutions is to start scrapbooking... I love being crafty & making cards, but i haven't ventured into the scrapbooking world yet..so i thought with the baby coming and all this year would be perfect to try it out! But, after looking into how EXPENSIVE scrapbooking supplies are, i decided i'll start keeping a blog instead for a little while...build up my supplies a little at a time so that by the time the baby actually comes, i'll have a little something to work with!

Here it goes!

This new year has brought lots of changes for Tyler and I. First, obviously our baby is coming in 3 months! We are so excited, and nervous! Tyler started school at Utah Valley University working on his BA in business marketing. He is interviewing for an internship with a company that does foreign hedge funds. (i won't try and explain it, becuase i'll butcher it) He's really excited about it.. we're crossing our fingers!! Right before Christmas we moved into an apartment above my parents garage for a while to save some money while Tyler's in school. It has been such a blessing!

Last year brought lots of changes for us, and lots of wonderful memories. I don't think this year will be any different! Even though around us, everyone seems to be struggling, people are losing their jobs, houses, savings, & investments, but we are just so blessed to have eachother, and to have the gospel, and soon to have our little girl. Yay for 2009! :)

Oh good you're a part of the blogging world now! :) I'll add you guys to our Google Reader.
And about your scrapbooking goals - An alternative to buying all those supplies and all that is doing it online and making books and getting them printed. Its what I do and I LOVE it. I make one every year as our family yearbook and its so easy and super fun. My sister is a consultant for a company that does it and you can go to her site and check it out if you want - http://www.readmemystory.com
If you buy the Premier Membership you have access to a TON of graphics, backgrounds, etc. The books look really professional and if you were to lose one in a fire or something like that you can re-order them cuz they all stay online. Sorry for writing a book on your blog :)
