a homecoming.

elder dallin brown.
son.brother.missionary.
served a full time LDS mission in Cape Verde, Praia

and he is HOME!
we started in the kitchen...then the front entry way..soon we were out on the front porch..and then, we eventually made it all the way to the end of the street...

a farewell is bitter/sweet. a homecoming is all sweet, not a bitter thing about it
it took us roughly..45 min? to get all of us together for this photo. and by golly, it is a good one.

having dal back home is really good. he has a bright spirit about him, and it has been such an amazing example to all of us. especially those boys looking forward to serving a mission in the next few years.

++funny story: dallin went without water for WEEKS at a time on his mission, quite regularly actually. a few days ago i was doing a few dishes, and i had the warm water running, to loosen up the gunk left on a pan..i saw him eyeballing me for a few minutes, and just quietly laughing to myself..seeing how long he'd let me run that water. finally he just looked exasperated and said "court! pleaaaseee turn that water off! it's driving me nuts! and it's warm too!" haha he never once had warm water the whole two years! one of many sacrifices he made to bring the gospel to the world..well worth it, he says.
