i finished! yep, i finished and my official time was 2:27min. my first 9 miles were all well under 10 min/mile and the last 4 or so miles got a little tougher mentally for me, but i finished! the last .1 mile i passed a STINky guy in a lime green shirt that had been in front of me for a while..crossing that finish was amazing. to see ty there, supporting me, and my sweet baby girl, it was really cool. it was hard. but...i guess i can do hard things huh? :)
&for good measure i must brag about my baby brother (age15) who ran with me...although i never saw him after the start. he finished with a time of 1:37min and 5th in his age group, which was a hard group! it was 15-19. so he competed agianst college runners. awesome. he did great :)

Congratulations! I started my training for my first 5k. I ran one whole minute yesterday. Lame, I know. But...I'll get there. Congrats again!
thanks! hey i remember when i ran my first minute. vividly acutally. and i remember when i ran a mile without stopping. gotta start somewhere! Don't give up! even when it's hard! :)
