so, during this cold season of the year, i go stir crazy.
very, very, very stir crazy. with a hint of depression in there too.
this year, i am just not going to do it.
and that doesn't mean i'm going to break the bank every day shopping..because there just really is nothing else to do.
lucky for me.this is the first year that i have an eager 2.5 year old, who would love to be entertained, which in turn, entertains me.
so, i am going to be doing a few things each week, and probably posting here as we go. i am going to be doing a "craft thursday" where me and lyn do a craft every thrusday. (probably no need for that explanation) the holidays always have cheap and fun crafts out there, and lynley's just the age that she'd be able to do them. i am planning on like a 20 min craft. but still! it's something. and it's not a cartoon.
also, i am going to the library today. the library always has activities (story time) for kids going on. and it's FREE. not only does my girl love books. but ive been wanting to get her introduced to all the princess movies for a while now, and they have them all on DVD! easy & fun. and gets us out of the house, without dropping the cash.
also, i'm going to keep running. and i'm even thinking about investing in a gym pass. yes they can be pricey, but...the wonderful tihngs that that could do for my brain, make it seem worth it. i'm still investigating that option, but we will see. it's a little hard to justify when i have my treadmill down stairs.
also, we're going to do "nail tuesdays". i've been starting a really huge and colorful collection of nail polish (forever21 2.50/bottle in amazing colors) and it's one of lynleys favorite things. also her nails NEED to be cut once a week, they grow so fast! and it's the only way i can get her to let me cut them, with the promise of them being painted.
AND once a month ato least, i'm gonna try to take lyn to Jump On IT. she's free, and all kids love the tramps. i wanna do like once a month, get everyone together and go and let the kids go crazy. the mom's are free, and i think that 3 and under are free. not too germy, and FREE. the smell is horrible, but i think i can tough it out to get out the house every once and awhile. :)
that's all i got. if you have any fun ideas for us for crafts, or a good kids book to read, or DVD to rent (i'm not hip on kids movies) let me know!
also, any other occupying things to do this winter!...so my brain can be happy, and my bank account can stay in the positive :)
