Lynley starts Preschool.

well, it happened. september 4th came and went, and this little one started preschool!
i can't believe that she's so big.

these are some of my all time favorite pictures of my little girl..
they are so HER.
and i just love love seeing her so excited an happy.

she ran up the stairs, and literally didn't even look back at me.
i thought i was going to be a mess..i was prepared with tissues.
but i wasn't. seeing her so happy, and so excited overshadowed all the sadness of seeing my baby leave this mama bear for the first time.

her teacher, miss shannon has a blog, and posted some photos of the kids during the first week.
which i LOVE.

here they are doing a handprint.

and doing playdough.

and modeling they're cowboy hats with their names on them.
the first thing i thought when i saw this photo:
my shorty daughter! just like i ALWAYS was! haha
but, these kids have been in sunbeams all year this year, so although it's a three year old class, she is the youngest one in it.
but, let me tell you (and her teacher agrees) she keeeps up with the big kids just fine.
in fact..little miss bossy pants tries to run the show.

her "school" is just what i envisioned for her.
all about, being excited to learn. making friends. doing art projects.
learning to listen, and follow rules/instructions.
stickers. playdough. paint. glue. glitter.
and a cute little backpack.

so cute.

both days she has waited by the door with her backpack on.
and squeeled all the way there.
and then come home, so excited to show me her projects, and telling me
"you get what ya get and you don't throw a fit" lol
telling me "mom, my preschool is berry berry fun."
and proudly telling the 9 year old girl at the playground, who didnt care at all, "hey, i am big now. i go to preschool. i am this many (holding 3 fingers) and bennett is this many (holding 4 fingers). don't you want to play with me?" to which the girl replies..."i am 9." and moves on..
haha.

lynley girl..you are so sweet, and special. you light up a room, i swear it.
you have a gift with people. you love people..and aren't afraid to reach out to anyone.
(i am trying to instill a little stranger danger in you..)
you have a new habbit of crawling into bed with us in the mornings..and rubbing my back..or stroking dads face. you're super quiet, and soft, and just lay there til we wake up.
i love those moments with you, nose to nose.

we have been the three amigos for what feels like forever..
you being excited for your sister to come, makes me excited. and makes me feel like it's okay,
to add someone else to this already perfect mix.

you demand your dad to hug and kiss you literally, 5-10 times before he leaves every morning.
and sometimes even demanding that he give me a few extra ones as well.

you proudly can put your own "pootaste" on your toothbrush.
pootaste. it's an epic word little one. and i will get you on camera saying it TODAY. it's just too funny.

you forever will be our princess..with a little spiderman mixed in.
love you.
