SEPTEMBER

SEPTEMBER has been a very FULL month. here it goeeeesssss:
picking rocks at sunset.

tyler tiling our shower. HE IS AN AMAZING TILER!! | my lights. if you know why this photo is up here, then you get it. if not.. well. you just had to be there ;)

CARPET!!!! i cried my eyes out seeing how excited they were. the instantly rolled all over it squealing. i wanted to do the same thing! it's really starting to feel like OUR HOME.

ellies birhtday lunch with the whole family!

the girls were so excited to give ells her birthday present.

i added this photo hesitently. but here's the thing. i want my girls to see all the beautiful fun parts about our lives. BUT. i think they deserve to see the REAL hard parts too. i took this photo (felt like an idiot) of myself the day before they painted our trim. tyler and i had an argument. i put the girls to bed on the plywood floor again. i had a splitting headache. i was SO TIRED. my hands hurt. i really wanted to be doing soemthing FUN like the fireplace. NOT screwing in floors. i would put a screw in, and then look how much more i still had to do, and would just cry. because i honestly didn't know if i could finish this. the house has been SO SO SO FUN. and SO many amazing memories and blessings and all things awesome. but man. it has been a lot of this too. pushing us to our limits. pushing us to the EDGE. it's okay to have a moment. it's okay to just cry it out, and be overwhelmed or mad or sad or whatever! as long as you get back up and DON'T GIVE UP.
i finished that floor.

i loved this. last sudnay i peeked out the window and caught tyler swinging with the girls in their church clothes. he's a really good dad, and i'm so excited for him to be able to think straight long enough to spend the time he wants to with them.

more house progresssss! we went to the river and collected rocks for the fireplace! such fun memories. the kids were SO excited to see their rocks displayed. each of them remembered one they picked out. we looked for as many heart shaped rocks we could find :)

Tyler came home from work with a hundred dollar bill and told me we were gonna do the fair up right this year! and that we did! i think it might have been the girls favorite night of the whole summer. we ate. we rode. we saw animals. we did everything the good ol othello fair had to offer. it was perfect fall weather, and just a really fun night as a family that didn't involve anything work or house.

Lynley is wrapping up her second soccer season! she HATES being the goalie (don't they all) but has actually really improved!

SUCH  special day! putting our handprints in the back patio concrete. i cried! these hands are tiny now.. but they wont always be. i am just so thankful to raise our family in this beautiful work of art of a home.

I'm so excited for this house to be finished for you! Your crying picture breaks my heart, but is a breathe of fresh air to know we all have hard, imperfect blog days. :) How about next time you call me for some help tho. ;) Bring on October!
