Christmas 2013

This year was a great year for us! we have been able to spend lots of time with the Casper family! we went and saw Frozen, and to Chinese Gardens (tradition, and best sweet and sour chicken in the world) and we went bowling on Christmas eve (tradition). we got to visit grandpa price and grandma norma. we sang lots of Christmas hymns for them. (watch out osmonds!!) we did the bi-annual nativity reenactment. which was a great success... for the three minutes the kids were into it.  we played days of boomboomboom and other games! it was just, overall, great.

Christmas morning, we were here just our family. and it was.... lovely. probably my most favorite year yet. lynley was just... so so so excited. and the night before she told me there was no way she was ever going to be able to sleep, she was too excited. she got up around 7:30 and we started the magical morning. she opened each present carefully, and with just, joy. callie enjoyed all lyns toys and all the paper, and chocolate for breakfast! me and tyler exchanged gifts, and it was just a really really great morning. one that i'll never forget.

on of my favorite parts of the day was when lynley got to finally give all her gifts she carefully picked out for tyler, grandma and grandpa and her cousins. she walked up and down the dollar store... carefully choosing what each person would like. she kept it a secret for over a week! and then, the just.. happiness that filled her up giving them away, and seeing everyone's reactions. it was priceless.
i saw the spirit of "giving" in her eyes, and it made me so happy.

these two girls are so sweet. and i love that they get to share these childhood memories together.

brit bought matching outfits for the two babies. so cute and so funny!

it was a great year for us. and lynley just told me that, it is time to make a new paper chain to count down for next  year... haha yeah. no. i cant wait another year.

although we were very very blessed with a beautiful tree with lots of shiny wrapped presents under it.... the true meaning of Christmas was in our hearts. lynley helped us remember, she wanted to wish Jesus happy birthday. she wanted to get him a toy. she wanted to make him a birthday card. it was very sweet.

"for unto you is born this day, a Savior of the world."
