Thanksgiving 2013

For thanksgiving this year, we drove all the way to good ol' utah! yay!

we got to see my family, and lots of our friends we left behind. i was really good for lynley, especially. when we moved, i had a big birthday party for her..and she left our old house, and never went back. it was so good for her to have some real closure. to see her friends and our old house.. with the real understanding that we were on a trip, and were going home in a few days. 

anyways! me and mom and wade got up and ran a 5k turkey trot in alpine on thanksgiving and tyler went and played football with all of his old young men. i loved doing a little race with my mom! reminded me of old times.. and much more miles haha and it was so great for ty to see his young men. he loved serving them, and having them in his life. they are all doing so well! they are putting misison papers in, and just really excelling at life. so rewarding! those boys will always have a special place in tylers heart.

we had a great thanksgiving dinner! wtih all the fixings. and then that night mom and I went to the outlets.. and we did a little black friday shopping (people watching) it was a good time!

and then in the next few days we saw lots of friends and family. we miss all our peeps in utah so much! and it was so great to see everyone... we wish we could've seen more.

i can't believe we are already into December. i am not sure where the time is going.. but wherever it's going it is going fast.
we are so blessed. we have so much. we are given so much, every minute of everyday. i am trying to let it all in, soak it up.. to take inventory, and let all that gratitude take hold of my heart. i cry a lot at random things, and i tend to be really deep and mushy.. but ya know..it is what it is. i feel really really humbled.. that i get to have these two amazing girls. such a good, supportive, soul mate and lover, tyler. to have a roof over our heads, a warm place that we get to keep our babies safe and fed and healthy. the gospel. the love of Christ all around us every day.
life is good. we are amazing. cheers to December,
