HAWAII!
if i had written this post right after i got home, i would've been really sad, and would've cried alot. because it really really really was an amaaaazing trip and coming home was hard! coming home to so many cancer unknowns was scary. and we just didn't know the next two weeks. and it was really hard to leave paradise and go back to reality.
BUT the trip was amazing. we went and went and went. we stayed up really late, and got up early. we saw the enitre island almost every day i think! we went zipling through the forest? jungle? we snorkeled with DOLPHINS literally. we SURFED. and i got a giant gash on my back. and gav was SO concerned that i was bringing the sharks hahahaha. the boys SCUBA DIVED. even gavin, and he was SUPER scared. me and mom went to the beach during that time. and it was heavenly. we ate the BEST fish tacos like three days in a row. we listened to all the silly music from our childhood and wade even sang the devil went down to georgia for us. ahah still mad he deleted that video! we went to the hawaii temple, and went through the visitors center. that was a really special time. it was on the family, and the eternal perspective. i dunno.. it just was perfect. it said what we all wanted to say, during that scary time. we talked to other "make a wish" families.. and it was eye opening. someone is always having a worse day than you i decided. we stayed at a super fancy hotel! the boys thought it was so funny to throw things off the balcany. there were SO many asians. haha gav and jake loved to get in the elevator and say "konichiwa" one time it was this couple and me and ty and gav and jake in the elevator and jake goes "konichiwa!" and the guy goes.. "uh.. were from new york" we died laughing. hahaha or when gav got locked out the hotel room until who knows when haha we all were asleep and ignored the door bell. oops! snokeling with dolphins was unreal! they were so close to us and you could HEAR THEM! anways.. it was a once in a lifetime trip, and i am SO THANKFUL that we were able to go. sanette watched the girls for a week! AND! potty trained callie in that week! make a wish foundation is an amazing foundation. becuase.. no matter what the future holds, i will hold those memories sacred in my heart forever. a time of laughter and love and fun and sun and ocean. and it was amazing.
