the craziness

okay. so since about thanksgiving, lynley girl has been having some strange symptoms. She has had random fits of vomitting, and then she will be totally fine the next day...but the next day another vomit. some mornings i'd go to get her from bed, to find a little pile of puke on the ground or in her crib. but she's ready for pancakes, not running a fever and sick with the flu. I have tried everything to get rid of this crazy thing. taken diary from her diet, taken all sorts of other foods away for lengths of times to try and find an allergy, not let her eat an hour before bed...only let her have really bland/mild foods.. we even had her on an intense 7 day dose of Zithromax (anti-biotic) thinking that maybe she had some sort of bacteria in her tummy. Also along with this vomit problem, she has had a cough and runny nose for three months. In the last three months she hasn't had a week where she's been healthy straight. I don't let her leave the house. i'm so scared that she's gonna get something else, that her immune system is shot or something.

on wednesday night after throwing up 6 times and waking my happy little baby girl i had enough. Yesterday i took her in to see her peidatrician. (who ilove. we know him, he's in my moms ward, his wife worked with my mom in young womens for along time, there really is something amazing knowing your doctors outside of a yearly visit.) He listened to everything i had to say, all my concerns, and didnt' bursh them off. I feel like when i walk in somewhere, and i look 12, and i'm holding this baby older professionals don't take me seriously. and i've been in situations where doctors try to run my over with beans medical care. i've learned that i have to stand my ground, and not let that happen. but with doctor arnold, it's not like that. anywayssss. oh, also she's only gained a 1/2 a lb in the last three months, which just makes sense. but, so we went to the hospital and had her blood drawn and a stool sample being tested for a number of different things that can cause pro-longed vomitting ect. so we'll see what the tests say.

when she had to get her blood drawn the nurses were all like "mom, are you ready?" "we hate doing this to babies!!" i was already basically in tears. they tied the rubber band around her tiny arm and she just looked up at me confused. then they stuck her, and she didn't even cry. she just looked at me with this huge sad face and one big tear came out! i about died. then i said, "Lyn! wanna go see grandma? and bennett?" and she started laughing and smiling sicne i'd been promising her to go to my mom's house all day. and then i said, "what about ELMO?" and by the time we got done expressing our love for elmo and ernie they were done. they took 3 viles. she's such an amazing little girl. lov her.

I'm not overly worried about her, it's hard to when she acts so healthy and normal. besides the random throwing up and that horribly hacking cough. i'm hoping that the tests come back and say that she has some sort of food allergy and be done with it. :)

so...that's that. hope that doctors offices and needles are far from your immediate future!
